The system
Four stages. You don’t pick one.
The read picks it. Most people put themselves two stages ahead of where their skin is, and that’s what stings.
Stage 01
Read your skin
Eighteen questions. Six minutes. It decides where you start.
Find out what your skin is actually doing right now, before you buy anything.
- 1
Answer the read
Answer for the last two weeks, not for your skin at its worst or its best. The read is only as good as how honestly you answer the tight-after-cleansing one.
- 2
Write down where you land
You get a skin type, a barrier score out of 12, and a starting stage. Screenshot it. You'll compare against it later.
- 3
Stop everything else
Whatever you're running now, park it.
If you're on anything prescribed, that stays. Talk to whoever prescribed it before changing it.
Move on when
- —You have a skin type and a barrier score.
Stage 02
Build the base
Four products. Nothing else. Hold it untouched.
Hold 28 days
Get a routine your skin tolerates completely before anything active goes near it.
- 1
Cleanser
One, used at night.
- 2
Moisturiser
Chosen off your read, from the database. Filter to your skin type and your oil level, then take the cheapest one that matches. Price is not the variable here.
- 3
Sunscreen
Every morning.
Move on when
- —Twenty-eight days with no stinging
- —No new breakouts you can trace to a product
Stage 03
Repair the barrier
Only if the base alone didn't settle it.
Hold 28 days
Get the skin holding water before asking it to tolerate an active.
Move on when
- —No tightness after cleansing
Stage 04
Target the problem
One active. One change. Then wait.
Hold 14 days
Introduce actives on a schedule slow enough that you can tell what caused what.
- 1
Pick one thing to fix
Texture, marks, oil, or breakouts. One. The database filters by use case so you can see the shortlist for yours.
- 2
Log it
Date, product, frequency. When something reacts three weeks later you will not remember what you changed. Nobody does.
Move on when
- —You're running one active at full frequency with no reaction.
